Correspondence, 1966-1967

Scope and content:

Series I holds the correspondence between Dr. Charles Millican, various people affiliated with the board of Regents, and citizens of Central Florida. Three seal designers correspondence are held in this series as well as some of their sketches submitted for the University staff's consideration. One designer, Norm Van Meter, was believed to have been Dr. Millican's brother-in-law, however, the documents held here do not show this connection. The letters from Major Forrest Shoup to the Governor and letters between the Board of Regents and Dr. Millican about Major Shoup's suggestions are contained in this series.
