Commercial and Botanical, 1935-1988
- Scope and content:
This series reflects the work involved in purchasing, hybridizing, marketing and selling plants. Correspondence files include both incoming and outgoing letters; Julian Nally wrote to a variety of collectors in an effort to obtain information about the plants on the Gotha property. Plant lists and files on specific plants, such as, Bamboo and Gloriosa Lilies document the range of plants found there and photographs show how it looked. Other photographs show bromeliads, orchids and other plants including those for which Nally is famous, such as, Gloriosa Lilies and Aechmea Maginali. Images of prominent collectors, Lee Moore and Althea Von Hyning may also be found here.
