- Scope and content:
This folder contains letters from Clifford Prince to his wife, Irene, as he continues his service in San Diego and his trips to Los Angeles and Mexico. He continued the hardwork of fixing up railroad cars in order to get extra money for Christmas but the base kept half of his earnings. The post office became slower since Christmas was approaching. He participated in various activities including vistiting the base's new pool room, visiting the race track and gambling there, and escorting women that visited their husbands to the sick bay. He sent his family numerous gifts including shoes, blankets, and cigarettes. He also sends a Christmas card to his wife.
