Scope and content:

This folder contains seven maps, some American and some Japanese. Three of these maps were created by Captain William H. Gill and date to 1942. One was a map issued by the War Department. One is a Japanese map of their empire circa roughly 1942 with a highly unusual projection. Remaining maps show areas such as coastal Honshu from Nara to Tokyo and the South Pacific.
