This folder contains seventeen photos with distinct origins: nine Official Marine Corps Photos including date, location, photographer, and synopsis on back, seven Defense Department photos, also including date, location, photographer, and synopsis, and one US Navy photo that is captioned, dated and bears a description. Also in this folder there is, one photograph with markings accompanied by four photocopies that have been used to make notes further illustrating the image, one original photo on which there are notes, a copy of a photograph, and a copy of two images on one sheet of copy paper. All of the photos are of Peleliu and were taken approximately in September and October of 1944.
