This series is a collection of journals created by students from Dr. Joyce LaOrden's HUM 1020 course.

Biographical / historical:

The projects in this series are the product of Dr. Joyce LaOrden's Introduction to Humanities course. For this project the students use the images from Arrival, a graphic novel with no text, to create a 10-page book that draw ideas from articles, books and films. Dr. LaOrden began this project in 2020 and the first few semesters students were required to reuse the title of the graphic novel, however students have been able to select their own titles since Fall 2022
