Biographical / historical:

The helmet was created and donated by Sean Gordon, Class of 2013. While living in North Lake during their freshmen and sophomore years, he and his roomates attended every home basketball game. They wanted to add "something more: to the student section, so the students purchased and decorated hard hats. Every game, they would wear these helmets and it slowly evolved into more and more people wearing hard hats, dressing up in patterened overalls, painting their faces, or bringing in props. The group continued to wear their helments all the way through the 2013 Dunk City run during their senior year. A few of the original group even traveled with their helmets to Dallas for the Sweet 16 game.
