Legacy Project, 2005-2008

Scope and content:

The College of Nursing established the Legacy Project in the early 2000s as a way to capture and preserve the rich history of the College of Nursing from its beginnings in 1948 to the present day. The Legacy Project was managed by a workgroup that included several faculty members, the college archivist, and the Dean. They actively sought information and donations from alumni to enrich the archives, the Wall of History, and the Oral History Project.

The records in this series include information about the history of the nursing profession and FSU's College of Nursing, transcripts of several oral history interviews, and research data for the Wall of History. Also included are scholarly publications, correspondence, invoices, Legacy Project Workgroup training files, and alumni lists.
