- Box 14.0004 Blunk, Object 001
- Scope and content:
This scrapbook has a brown, hard cover with an eagle in flight engraved on the front with "Scrap Book" in gold lettering. The pictures within the book are from Harold's time in the South Denver High School Cadet Corps, but a few photographs also show his younger brother Chester. The book documents activites engaged by his squad, including running drills, standing at attention, and artillery practice at Camp Martin. The artillery practice photographs are from 1936 and show the men working with a 37 mm anti-tank gun. There are also documents from the Cadet Corps that show his rise through the ranks to the position of Captain. There are also a series of photos from Military Balls that Harold attended. Included with these dance photos are booklets that attendees would sign after dancing together to certain songs.
