V-mail from Wife to Harold G. Blunk, June 1943- December 1944

Containers:
14.0004 - Box 1, Folder 009
Scope and content:

This folder contains V-mail from Harold's wife, Ruby, sent to him while he was stationed in England. She often expressed her sincere feelings for Harold and a constant worry over his health in her letters. She relayed news of their "babies" and their family and friends to him. Ruby also offered to send him anything he could want, including pictures of them, tobacco, or food. Like her husband, Ruby complained about not only the slow pace of the mail but also how inconsistent it was, which forced her to write more V-mail than regular letters.
