Sunday School Class at the Sanibel School, 1910
- Scope and content:
A Sunday School class held at the Sanibel School in the 1910s. In 1910 a hurricane destroyed the island's only church, and one was not reconstructed until about 1917, so services were held in other venues. Mrs. Page, the Sunday School teacher, is seated in the middle. Standing from left to right is Ernest Bailey, unknown, Lois Swint Mitchell, unknown, and Bertha Daniels. The Mitchell family donated land for the new church constructed in 1917.
