This folder contains letters from Albert Fuhrman to Laura Fuhruman for October 1944 where he conveys the news of his appointment to command the USS Jack , directions on how his wife is to inform him of the birith of their first child,news regarding friends and fellow officers and his attitude toward the responsibilities of serving as captain of a submarine.
