This folder consists of corespondence and circulars sent to Mrs. Henry Perner from the War Department regarding prisoner of war policies. It contains an application for the Prisoner of War Medal completed by Henry Perner and a letter from Secetary of Army John O. Marsh, May 19, 1988 forwarding him the Prisoner of War medal. Also there is a letter from Miami chapter of YMCA, January 3, 1944 inviting Mrs. Henry Perner to a "Next of Kin" meeting regarding the status of American Prisoners of War. The folder includes a letter from the Miami chapter of American Red Cross, May 11, 1944, ackowledging a contribution.
