In the 1940s, Leila Roosevelt and Armand Denis moved to Dania Beach, Florida and opened the Anthropoid Ape Research foundation. The farm was a tourist attraction and the chimpanzees were used for medical research. The photographs and clippings in this subseries illustrates the founding activities of the foundation.
