University Relations, 1969-2003
- Scope and content:
Series IV contains minutes, reports and notes concerning the activities of the departments controlled by the Vice-President for University Relations. Files are arranged in alphabetical order, and many of them concern the work of the UCF Foundation and other sources of funding for the university. These sources include relationships with alumni, as well funding for Eminent Scholars Chairs, the Florida Public Relations Association Roast and Toast, Night of Knights and Homecoming. Copies of the original documents establishing the Foundation may be found in the file entitled "Supporting Documents." The challenge grant program provides money from various sources, and information about the funds raised may be found here. Other areas of interest include development files and public affairs publications for the College of Business. One small file holds materials about football and others concern Vice-President Dennis R. McGinnis and Vice-President Daniel G. Holsenbeck.

Access and use

- Some files are restricted. Access to UCF Facilities drawings, documents, and sensitive data is available to authorized university staff and approved consultants only, per university policy, and under lawful exception to Florida's Public Records Law. While most of the collection is open for research, some materials concerning grievances in boxes 3, 42, 71 and 79, some files in box 63 concerning the Medical School, some materials in boxes 81 and 82 relating to Student Government, information in box 39 concerning the Jenkins Chair and some materials prepared for an external organization in box 73 are closed until review by the University Archivist in 2017.
