Officially established in 1902, the organization was formed as a women's club limited to 25 musically inclined members.  Eventually merging with the Hillsborough County Federation of Women's Clubs, the Friday Morning Musicale opened the Friday Morning Musicale and Federated Clubs building at 809 Horatio Street in 1927. Since its inception, the organization and the building have showcased a wide variety of musical, dance and theatrical performances. The club was one of the first business women's associations to affiliate with the National Federation of Business and Professional Women's Clubs, receiving its charter in January 1920.","Between 1920 and 1987, the Business and Professional Women's Club of Tampa worked to increase opportunities for equal participation by women in the economic and political life of the city, state, and nation.
