Born in Bartow, Florida on October 1, 1908, Angle died in Seminole, Florida on April 16, 2003 at the age of 94. A successful attorney, citrus grower and real estate developer, Angle was admitted to the Florida Bar in 1933 and was a founding member of the Hillsborough County Bar Association, practicing law in Tampa for many years. During World War II, he was an officer in the U.S. Coast Guard Reserve, serving in Florida, California and the South Pacific. In 1961, Angle was appointed U.S. Customs Collector for Florida, with headquarters in Tampa.
