In later years, the PRVCGA expanded further to include Charlotte, Manatee, and Sarasota counties as well. PRVCGA served as a link between commercial citrus growers throughout Florida and elected government officials, and hosted \"roundtable events\" where growers could congregate and share ideas and methods of practice with each other. Barbara Carlton (formerly Barbara Oxford) was the Executive Director of the PRVCGA for 20 years, and she is featured heavily in this collection. She stepped down from her position in 2014. From humble beginnings, four generations have built Noble into the business that it is today. William G. Roe, the founder of Noble, began a fresh fruit distributorship in upstate New York.
