When able, the donor's original order and file level labels were maintained.","Dianora Niccolini was born in Florence, Italy, but moved to the United States at the age of nine. Niccolini relocated to New York City to study art, but moved from the realm of dance to photography after meeting the noted photographer Weegee. Niccolini's first exhibit was a 1974 study of female nudes, followed by a Sunday New York Times-reviewed show of the male nude the following year. Niccolini is considered a pioneering female photographer in the realm of photographing the male nude and her images of the male nude pre-date those of body builders popularized by Robert Mapplethorpe. Her photographs have been featured in several anthologies of nude figurative photography. Niccolini was the first president of Professional Women Photographers (PWP), serving 1979-1984, under which PWP became the leading professional organization of its kind. Niccolini has taught photography at the Germain school of photography, The New York Institute of photography, The New York Institute of Technology and, The Learning Annex.","This collection includes original silver gelatin photographs and chemomonoprints by photographer Dianora Niccolini, as well as a poster and other reproductions of original artwork. Held each spring in the Student Union by the Office of Student Involvement (OSI), the service honors the lives of students who have passed away over the course of the academic year, from the previous spring and summer leading up to the current semester. Students, family, and friends are invited to attend and recognize individuals, along with the broader University of Central Florida (UCF) community. A livestream is available for those who cannot attend in person.   ","During the ceremony, a eulogy is given. Following a campus-wide moment of silence, honored students are given the title "Eternal Knight." Honorary degrees and Student Government proclamation letters are issued and formally presented for each student who has passed away. Prior to the issue of honorary degrees, students were honored with certificates of achievement. Family members are also given a glass engraving and a glass vase holding a single yellow rose during the ceremony.  Various speakers have included the current UCF President and representatives from Campus Faith & Ministries. Other campus partners involved include OSI Creative Services, the Registrar's Office, and Student Government. As of 2025, the event is held in the Student Union Pegasus Ballroom. Previously, the event has been held in both the Cape Florida Ballroom and the Key West Ballroom. PRVCGA served as a link between commercial citrus growers throughout Florida and elected government officials, and hosted "roundtable events" where growers could congregate and share ideas and methods of practice with each other. Barbara Carlton (formerly Barbara Oxford) was the Executive Director of the PRVCGA for 20 years, and she is featured heavily in this collection. She stepped down from her position in 2014. Ten years later, the PRVCGA was officially closed down in February of 2024 due to continuous decline in production and market fluctuations, among other struggles.

This collection contains annual membership and meeting records, photographs, newspapers, magazines, newspaper clippings, audio/visual materials, and photographs of PRVCGA members, events, businesses, and workshops. He was recognized as an international expert in structural biology and the protein structures of viruses.","Caspar was born January 8, 1927 in Ithaca, New York. His father was a graduate student in chemistry at Cornell University. When he was ten years old, a family friend, the crystallographer Isidor Fankuchen, told him of the recent discovery that particles of the rod-shaped tobacco mosaic virus (TMV) had a semi-crystalline structure, suggesting that the virus comprised many identical units.","After completing a B.A. in physics at Cornell (1950), Caspar did his PhD on the structure of TMV at Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut (1955). He then held postdoc positions at the California Institute of Technology in Pasadena, and at the MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology in Cambridge, UK.","At Cambridge in 1956, He demonstrated that tomato bushy stunt virus had icosahedral symmetry, requiring 60 identical subunits. Biochemical data indicated that many virus particles had a lot more. Caspar resolved this paradox in the late 1950s, working with Aaron Klug at Birkbeck College in London. He introduced quasi-equivalence — the idea that equivalent protein subunits could vary slightly in conformation to tightly seal the viral shells.","In 1958, Caspar established the Laboratory for Structural Biology at the Children's Cancer Research Foundation at Boston Children's Hospital.
