(JCCI) was formed in 1974 after the Jacksonville Community Planning Conference in June of that year. It was created as a nonpartisan civic group to evaluate the needs of the Jacksonville community. The original mission statement was \"to bring people together to learn about out community, engage in problem solving and act to drive positive change.\" ","The JCCI led the creation of 80 reports examining the needs and state of education, city finances, mental health in Jacksonville. ","In 1985 the JCCI created the country's first \"community indicator project\" in the form of the Annual Quality of Life Indicators Report. ","Due to financial issues and staffing changes, the JCCI was disbanded in 2017 and the Citizen Engagement Pact was created and considered an \"organizational evolution\" of JCCI.
