The original collection was obtained by the University of Central Florida Special Collections \u0026 University Archives in 2009.","The research files were given to the University of Central Florida History Department through their program known as Regional Initiative for Collecting the History, Experiences and Stories (RICHES). The original collection was obtained by the University of Central Florida Special Collections \u0026 University Archives in 2009.","The research files were given to the University of Central Florida History Department through their program known as Regional Initiative for Collecting the History, Experiences and Stories (RICHES). They were housed in the History Department for a number of years and were donated to the University of Central Florida Special Collections \u0026 University Archives. Ms. Mundy saw the University of Central Florida John C. Hitt Library as the perfect institution to house her collection. She also wanted to bring more attention and educate the public and students about the African American Legacy. She married Dewitt Talmadge Black Jr. on February 12, 1944 in Memphis, TN. He passed away in March 1957. She then married Lane Jordan in Crossett, AR,  and he passed away in 1993 after 35 years of marriage. She moved to Mountain Home in 1994. Thirdly, she married Russell Heldenbrand in Mountain Home, AR in 1996 and he passed away in 2003. Catherine had 3 sons: Dewitt Black, Dr. John Patton Black, AR, and William Lawrence Black.
