He received his Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts, and a Ph.D. in English all from New York University. In 1968, Dr. Nathan began his career at Florida Atlantic University. In his early career, Dr. Nathan wrote several textbooks dealing with English grammar and style, and literary interpretation of the short story and poetry while continuing to write poetry and short stories.","Dr. Nathan published several books of poetry in addition to publishing over 450 poems in various publications. He has published over 22 short stories. In addition to the unpublished poems and short stories in the collection, it also contains his unpublished memoirs and novels. Dr. Nathan published over 62 scholarly articles on Shakespeare, Chaucer, Blake, The Bible, Keats, Shelly, and T. S. Elliot. Dr. Nathan passed away June 11, 2013.","In 2018, additional material donated by his daughter. This material was described and added to the existing collection by Leslie Siegel. In addition to poems and stories, the additional material included essays he wrote as an undergraduate student. She grew up in nearby Smithville, Ohio and graduated from high school in 1975. She attended Ohio State University where her original plan was to become a physician. However, while there, she discovered the university's athletic training\nprogram and switched her career path. She graduated in 1979 with her Bachelor of Science in Physical Education and went on to earn her Master of Science in Exercise Science from Purdue University in 1981. She began her career in athletic training by working at East Carolina State University, but in\n1982, she departed the school for the University of Kentucky where Albert \"Al\" Green had hired her as both an Assistant Athletic Trainer and an Instructor. She worked for the University of Kentucky for 15 years and was the first female full-time athletic trainer for football in the Southeastern Conference\n(SEC). From 1988 to 1993, Stanley-Green also worked on various assignments for the United States Olympic Committee as an athletic trainer. After years of working together as a team, she and Al Green married in 1993. The two continued to work as a team until 1997 when they both departed the\nUniversity of Kentucky. From 1998 to 1999, Stanley-Green served as the Head Athletic Trainer at Centre College in Danville, Kentucky.\nIn the fall of 1999, Sue Stanley-Green, MS, ATC was hired to serve as the Clinical Education Coordinator for the Athletic Training Education Program (ATEP) at Florida Southern College. In 2002, she was appointed the Athletic Education Training Program Director. Stanley-Green also served as a\nclinical instructor and faculty member for the College, teaching classes for ATEP as well as co-teaching a Women's Studies class. In 2004, she was inducted into the National Athletic Trainers' Association (NATA) Hall of Fame, alongside her husband.
