Cole was a distinguished member of Broward College's music faculty, specializing in voice, music theory, and choral direction. Cole earned his B.A. from Furman University and M.A. from the Eastman School of Music, with post-graduate studies at the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music, studying voice with renowned instructors such as Arnold Putnam, Arthur Kraft, and Marco Rothmuller. Prior to joining Broward College in 1970, he served on the faculties of Mars Hill College, 1959–1962; Western Carolina College, 1962–1965; and Winthrop College, 1966–1970. Cole directed the Concert Choir and College Singers at Broward College for several decades, fostering an active music scene on campus and mentoring countless students. He was one of the editors of Él País, La Habana. These experiences guided him to globally make notorious documentaries and cinematography of actual events and issues. He traveled around the globe. For instance, he registered for a temporary immigration card to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil in 1959 as a journalist. He received his Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts, and a Ph.D. in English all from New York University. In 1968, Dr. Nathan began his career at Florida Atlantic University. In his early career, Dr. Nathan wrote several textbooks dealing with English grammar and style, and literary interpretation of the short story and poetry while continuing to write poetry and short stories.","Dr. Nathan published several books of poetry in addition to publishing over 450 poems in various publications. He has published over 22 short stories. In addition to the unpublished poems and short stories in the collection, it also contains his unpublished memoirs and novels. Dr. Nathan published over 62 scholarly articles on Shakespeare, Chaucer, Blake, The Bible, Keats, Shelly, and T. S. Elliot. Dr. Nathan passed away June 11, 2013.","In 2018, additional material donated by his daughter. This material was described and added to the existing collection by Leslie Siegel.
