DeBolt collected a number of materials during his vacations at the Walt Disney World Resort and donated them to the University of Central Florida Libraries Special Collections in 2004 and 2011 because of the University's close proximity to Walt Disney World. Julia Arias, a Disney employee and enthusiast, collected materials for her daughter while on vacation at Walt Disney World Resort. Thompson served in New Guinea and the Philippines before his discharge but continued in the U.S. Army Reserves until retirement in 1968. Thompson became the pastor of the Palmetto Presbyterian Church, Palmetto, FL in March 1955. Sparkman participated with his company in the drive towards Rome and was present during the Cassino battles.  Sparkman also participated in the landings of Southern France during Operation Dragoon in August 1944. After graduation from the Bolles School, he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1958 from the University of Virginia, and a Bachelor of Laws degree from Stetson University in 1961. His early legal work included positions as the Assistant Duval County Solicitor (1963-1965), and Assistant State Attorney for Duval County (1965-1967). In June 1967, he was elected from Ward 8 to the Jacksonville City Council (prior to Consolidation), and under the new consolidated government, won election to the City Council from District 13.
