As a result she was able to compile these documents in this collection and its sister collection also house at the UCF Special Collection and University Archives and known as the African American Legacy: the Carol Mundy Collection which hold about one thousand five hundred pieces of history that Ms. Mundy collected previously. The original collection was obtained by the University of Central Florida Special Collections \u0026 University Archives in 2009.","The research files were given to the University of Central Florida History Department through their program known as Regional Initiative for Collecting the History, Experiences and Stories (RICHES). They were housed in the History Department for a number of years and were donated to the University of Central Florida Special Collections \u0026 University Archives. Ms. Mundy saw the University of Central Florida John C. Hitt Library as the perfect institution to house her collection. She also wanted to bring more attention and educate the public and students about the African American Legacy. He was greatly influenced by Professor James I. O'Neill's saying, \"Work is Heaven's Best Gift to Mankind\" and reminded his family of this motto throughout his life. During his youth he participated in a variety of sports including ski jumping which he competed in at the club level across the east coast.","His skis are now displayed in the National Ski Hall of Fame in Ishpeming, MI.","He was a proud graduate of Florida Southern College, earning a B.S degree in business administration.
