Morinskey was discharged in 1945 at Camp Atterbury, IN due to being over the age of 40. After the war, Elmer and Blanche lived in Inkster, MI near Romulus. He and Blanche gave birth to their first son Herman on March 27, 1946.  A second son, Elmer William Morinskey, was born on September 24, 1948 but passed away shortly after birth.
