From traveling across the country on a bike in her twenties to becoming a staunch environmentalists later in life, she cemented her legacy in the creation of the Happehatchee Center in Estero, Florida to inspire peace and healing. Also included are Confederate government documents and general orders pertaining to the war as well as photographs and illustrations from the period.
