He was called to service in January of 1943 for the Army Air corps. He completed trainings in Biloxi, Mississippi, in Lynchburg Virginia, Scott Field, Illinois, Harlingen, Texas, and Ellington Field, Texas. He was sent to the Pacific Theater at Henderson Field in Guadalcanal in the Solomon Islands. He served with both the 5th and the 11th heavy bombardment group. He flew missions as a replacement for a radioman, bombardier or gunner. N. Baldino also served in the Philippine campaigns. In 1946, he married Jeanne Baldino at St. Rose Catholic Church in Belmar, NJ. Upon his return to the U.S. he received an economics degree at Fordham with the assistance of a baseball scholarship and the GI Bill and law degree at Rutgers. He was the senior vice president of Chemical Bank, N.Y., now J. P. Morgan Chase. He passed away on January 11, 2015. N. Baldino is buried at St. James R.C. Church, Red Bank, New Jersey.\n\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\nJeanne Baldino was born in Plainfield, New Jersey on May 29, 1926.
